About Atlanta Bicycle Classes (ABC)
Confidence. Community. Joy on Two Wheels.
Atlanta Bicycle Classes (ABC) is a community-rooted bicycle education service dedicated to helping people of all ages and backgrounds learn to ride, relearn, or improve their biking skills in a safe, supportive, and joyful environment. Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to biking after years away, or looking to build your confidence on city streets and trails—ABC is here to meet you where you are.
Founded by Shakeesha Semone, a League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructor with nearly a decade of experience in the cycling community, ABC brings together expertise, patience, and a love of teaching. Shakeesha’s unique background as a certified yoga instructor allows her to blend breath, balance, and body awareness into her lessons, making learning to ride not only a physical achievement but a mindful and empowering experience.
Through private instruction, small group classes, and family-friendly programs, ABC serves children, adults, homeschoolers, afterschool programs, and schools across the Atlanta area. We also offer bike safety education, tips, and trail rides—including “bike therapy” experiences that blend nature, movement, and mental wellness.
At ABC, we believe cycling is more than a skill—it's a life tool. Riding a bike builds confidence, supports mental health, provides sustainable transportation, and offers freedom and fun. One proud Atlanta parent shared how her son, after learning with Shakeesha, not only mastered biking but found a new sense of independence and joy that extended into his daily life.
Our Mission
