Free/$1 Monthly Learn-to-Ride Bike Workshop
Free/$1 Monthly Learn-to-Ride Bike Workshop - 4th Saturdays at 8am
Dates: Every 4th Saturday, July 25, August 22, September 26, October 24
Time: 8am, while its hot. Will slightly move the time when weather changes.
Join Atlanta Bicycle Classes for a free monthly beginner bike workshop designed to help new riders and relearners build confidence, balance, and joy on two wheels.
Learning to ride a bike supports the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Students build coordination, strength, focus, courage, independence, and the freedom that comes from learning something new.
This workshop is open to adults and children ages 7 and up. It is perfect for anyone who has never learned to ride, feels nervous around bikes, or wants a gentle introduction before signing up for private lessons or small group classes. No shame, no pressure, just patient, supportive guidance.
This 1.25-hour introductory workshop is held every 4th Saturday of the month at Washington Park, Atlanta, GA 30314, and welcomes up to 15 students. Spots are limited, and registration is required.
Participants will be introduced to beginner-friendly bike handling, balance activities, safe stopping, and confidence-building guidance with Coach Shakeesha.
Students may leave with a better understanding of balance, braking, body position, bike comfort, and the next steps needed to continue learning.
Important Registration Note:
This workshop is free. The $1 online registration helps reserve your spot and allows us to list the workshop through our website checkout system. Because space is limited, please only register if you truly plan to attend. All students must complete the assessment/waiver form before attending. Students who complete the waiver and arrive on time will be served as space allows.

To make this opportunity available to as many new riders as possible, the free monthly workshop is intended as a one-time introductory class for each student. Students who have already attended are encouraged to continue learning through our small group classes or private lessons. Returning students may join again only if space is available after first-time students are registered.
Attendance Commitment:
Because this is a free community workshop with limited space, please only register if you truly plan to attend. If you register and can no longer make it, please text Coach Shakeesha at 404-324-2155 at least 24 hours before class so your spot can be offered to another student.
Students should arrive 10 minutes early and be ready to begin on time. Late arrivals may lose their spot to students who are present and ready at the start of class.
No-shows may lose priority for future free workshops.
