Learn to Ride in a Calm, Supportive Small Group
Atlanta Bicycle Classes offers beginner-friendly small group bike classes for kids and adults who are ready to build balance, confidence, and comfort on two wheels.
These classes are taught by Coach Shakeesha, a Certified Bike Instructor with 10 years of experience teaching children, adults, nervous beginners, relearners, and students who need patient, step-by-step support.
This is a low-pressure class designed to help students feel safe, encouraged, and successful while learning one of life’s most joyful and freeing skills.

Who This Class Is For:
This class is for beginner riders, including:
Adults who never learned to ride
Seniors
Teens
Kids ages 5 and up
Riders who feel nervous or unsure
Students who are ready to practice balance, starting, stopping, and turning
Families looking for a supportive introduction to bike riding

**Accessibility note:
If you or your rider is neurodivergent, anxious, has sensory needs, learning differences, or needs extra one-on-one support, a private lesson is usually the best first step. We’ll set a calm pace, build confidence, and then move into group classes when the student is ready.

What Students Will Get Out of Class
Students will begin building the foundation needed to ride with confidence, including:
A calmer mindset around bikes
Better balance and body awareness
Confidence getting on and off the bike
Practice starting with the power pedal
Smoother stopping and braking
Steering and straight-line control
Gentle turning skills
Encouragement, patience, and personalized guidance within a small group
A better understanding of what they need next to keep progressing
Some students may begin pedaling during class, while others may need additional practice or private support. Every student will leave with more confidence, more understanding, and clear next steps.

Class Size
Small group classes are limited to 5 riders maximum so each student can receive more support and attention.
Classes are held once 2 to 5 students have registered, so feel free to invite a friend.
If only one student registers, the class may be rescheduled. The student will be notified, and payment will be refunded or applied toward another class.
Private lessons are a great alternative for students who want more scheduling flexibility, faster progress, or more individualized support.
